It is extremely rare that we are offered a yew tree to mill into timber, and, consequently, the boards that we get are very special. Yew trees take such a long time to grow to a size that is possible to get joinery timber from, so every piece is precious.

This is a one-off piece, made from the branch wood of a yew tree with 5 pegs, equally spaced along the length of the board. Each peg is 10cm long with a top diameter of 28mm, tapering into the board.

The board is currently fitted with mirror plates on the back, but we can pre-drill holes in the board for surface mounting as required.
